Funded by the European Union.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 101169496.
This project has been designed to address open research challenges for the realization of the service extension beyond communication usage scenario of the IMT-2030 vision. In a collaborative effort, ISAC-NEWTON will propose, design and develop theoretical and proof-of-concept research models for the integration of advanced sensing and AI capabilities with enhanced communications. In this way, ISAC-NEWTON will facilitate the convergence of the physical, biological, and cyber domains, ultimately leading to novel services such as real-time digital twins. This evolution is expected to drive innovation and productivity and improve living and economic standards by enabling use cases that create sustainable value.
ISAC-NEWTON aspires to achieve this by bringing together leading experts in the field of communications, information theory, sensing and 6G, leveraging European best practices, and implementing the necessary supporting activities towards the full participation of doctoral candidates in 6G related research and training activities. ISAC-NEWTON aims to become an important pan-European collaborative platform for research excellence in ISAC towards IMT-2030.
